Understanding the cause of - and cure for - the so-called "ozone hole" over Antarctica arose directly from research into chlorine reactions observed in Venus' atmosphere. But, as an outlier in planetary climate data sets, Venus data calibrate and refine models of global warming upon which critical geopolitical decisions will be made for decades to come.

As of this writing, astronomers have cataloged and confirmed 4,201 exoplanets. They are nearly identical in mass, gravitation and size Earth is just 396 miles (638 kilometers) larger in diameter.
